Hello!

Patrick “PJ” Moran (he/him) is a New York City based actor, carpenter, educator, instrumentalist, and most importantly, kid at heart!

Originally from rural Pennsylvania, PJ knew from an early age he wanted to be a storyteller. After graduating high school, PJ studied at DeSales University in Center Valley, PA. During his time there, he was involved in many productions both on and offstage. Select credits include Oliver in As You Like It (Dir. Matt Pfeiffer), Talthybius in The Trojan Women (Dir. Jessica Bedford), and serving as the Head Carpenter on Our Town (Technical Dir. Tom Minucci).

Before and after graduation, PJ also worked with The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the regional theatre hosted on DeSales University’s campus. Notably, PJ was the Deck Chief for the Festival’s Summer 2021 season, and an Actor and ASM for their Willpower Tours in 2022 and 2023.

The Festival’s 2023 tour of Romeo & Juliet saw PJ play the roles of Tybalt and Paris. During the previous year, he served as the Company Swing and Assistant Stage Manager for the tour’s production of Hamlet, which saw PJ step into the role of Laertes for a week of shows.

Upon moving to NYC, PJ served as the Head Carpenter for The Play that Goes Wrong Off-Broadway, joining the production in September at New World Stages and running automation for over 300 performances. Additionally, PJ has taken part in several readings of new works, including We, Enheduanna by Dane Rooney at the Makers Ensemble space.

Outside of performing and woodworking, PJ enjoys hiking the countryside, writing short stories and poetry, creating stunt-ready props for television and film, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with his roommates and friends!
